With her many years of experience, Pia has become a vital part of Curit's DNA, as she works as a consultant and handles the internal accounting, including payroll and HR. Therefore, she has a very special place in the company, both professionally and personally.
Pia, why don't you tell us about your work at Curit?
In my everyday life, I am the primary financial consultant for many of our customers when IFS Applications are implemented, and I am also responsible for the internal finances at Curit. In the role of financial consultant, you quickly get to wear many hats because it requires a good understanding of how the supply chain, HR, service, project and production work in IFS Applications, and when transactions are created in a company's flow. Therefore, the role of financial consultant has given me a really good understanding of all processes in a company.
What do you think is one of the greatest joys of working with finance at IFS?
Finance is very square, as it's debit/credit that has to add up. But that's why it's still really exciting to work in finance, because it's the transactions from the various processes in a company that have to add up and ultimately help to ensure that the company can see whether this gives a good result on the bottom line.
Furthermore, I also believe that one of the things that IFS can do, and which is really cool to work with, is the many different ways we can set up the system within the standard. Even though it all has to work out in the end, it is possible to use the standard functionalities in IFS Applications in different ways even within finance, so there is a need for consultants to familiarise themselves with a company's needs and help them find the best solution that suits them.
What do you think are some of the best qualities Curit has to offer?
I'm happy to be here because Curit is a family, and even though we're now up to 32 colleagues, I think we've managed to keep the Curit spirit. This means that we can still have fun together and enjoy ourselves, and that there's room for us to care about each other and be happy for each other, and that's something that's important to me. The security these values provide also means that we are really good at helping each other across different areas, and in this way we can advise customers at the level they are at, understand their needs and then transform them into IFS Applications, which is essential for the business we run.
Lastly, I also think that one of the reasons I've been here for so many years is the opportunity to get smarter every day and learn something new. Even though I'm in finance, it's not just the same thing I do every day, as customers have new requirements and IFS Applications comes up with new functionalities that I have to excel in and subsequently be able to advise on. Therefore, I am challenged every day I go to work - and that is something that motivates me and something that I think our management facilitates in a really good way.
