Meet the Curitters - CRM Specialist

Bjarke, can you tell us a bit about what you do at Curit?

Yes, I'm a Supply Chain Consultant at Curit, specialising in Sales and CRM, where I consult customers in these areas. In addition, I also work a lot with sales, where I help prepare offers and present prototypes to potential customers. Depending on the needs, I can continue on the implementation team after the sales work or let the customer go and hand over the further work to one or more of Curit's other consultants.

In addition to my role as a supply chain consultant, I also work with what we call Custom Objects and Lobbies. Custom Objects and Lobbies are what allow us to quickly and efficiently make modifications and customise screens in IFS. This means that we can add extra fields and features to the system relatively quickly, making it flexible without having to do a lot of customisation and getting our developers involved.

I enjoy working in both tracks. In one track, where I have a business role, I have to think about solutions across the board together with others in an overall perspective. And the other track, where my role is more technical and the tasks require time to sit and geek out in PLSQL until the desired functionality is created and working. I'm going to sound like Peter and Aase, who are the partners and owners of Curit, but I think the opportunity to solve various puzzles and mysteries in IFS makes my work versatile and exciting.

Do you have a project or task that you've enjoyed being involved in?

It definitely has to be our implementation project at Ib Andresen, which is a large project that spans several years. What makes this project extra exciting to be involved in is the size of the project. It is the largest project to date, which can be seen in the way the project is run and the way the documentation is done. Of course, there are other challenges in a project like this because it can seem overwhelming and there are so many links that need to be connected. But the challenges are definitely outweighed by the great experiences you get when you help find the right solution that works across a company of this size.

At the same time, I have been involved in demonstrating and selling IFS to the company Insatech, which we are now in the process of implementing. This process of following the project from the very beginning, where you start by putting together a solution, presenting it and representing Curit for sales purposes, and then winning the sale, is really exciting. After that, we are now in the implementation phase, where we translate their specific needs into a customised IFS solution.

What do you think is the best thing about working at Curit?

I'm very sociable, so being able to get out and talk to customers and meet new people is really cool. As we are a project-oriented company, we typically work very intensively with our customer for a year, where we analyse, implement and commission IFS Applications. After this phase, the customer primarily moves to our support department, which reduces the intensity of my work with the customer. So in addition to the business and technical role I have, I think it's great to have to think in new ways and stay updated in relation to new customers' wishes and needs.

Besides the professional challenges in my work at Curit, I must also praise Curit for having an eye for new young candidates. When I started as a student assistant four years ago, there weren't many employees under 40. And now we young people are almost in the majority and I experience a huge drive and great desire to learn new things. I think Curit is cool and takes responsibility for giving new candidates the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

What advice would you give to those who are considering Curit as a workplace?

If you dream of becoming a consultant at Curit, don't let yourself be limited by not having an IT-specific education, it can be an advantage, but it's certainly not a must. Curit consultants come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and what determines your success is whether you have the will, desire, drive and curiosity to seek out new knowledge.

Curit is growing and we are therefore looking for new colleagues in several areas. Contact Aase Steffensen at aast@curit.dk or Peter Bering at pebe@curit.dk
