In the midst of these cold times, AffaldVarme Aarhus has taken a quantum leap into the future when they went live with IFS Applications 10 on Monday 4 January 2021.
After an intense nine-month implementation period, the system is now in operation with over 400 users and for all the group's companies, without a single customisation, and exactly on time and on budget. ”This is an impressive achievement and could not have happened without AffaldVarme Aarhus’ dedicated and hard-working employees, who have worked extra hard to make it all happen,” says Peter Bering, Project Manager from Curit.
Curit has had the role of technical implementation partner and has thus been responsible for everything from pre-analysis, project planning and technical setup to the practical implementation via workshops with counselling and training in IFS Applications 10. The implementation was carried out in close collaboration between Curit, Devoteam and AffaldVarme Aarhus’ key employees.
”The collaboration between AffaldVarme Aarhus, Curit and Devoteam has been excellent and clearly contributed to the successful implementation process,” says internal project manager Per Vasegaard from Devoteam.
The next few months will be spent stabilising the new system, but AffaldVarme Aarhus expects to expand the use of IFS Applications to more business areas, including strategic HR. “It has been a pleasure to work with Curit, who has worked very flexibly and purposefully to create solutions that benefit both parties. We look forward to developing our use of IFS further,” says Lars Gjørtz Hougaard, Chief of Staff at AffaldVarme Aarhus.
AffaldVarme Aarhus supplies district heating to 350,000 people in East Jutland and recycles waste for 166,000 households in Aarhus Municipality. The group is owned by Aarhus Municipality and has approximately 450 employees.
