In October 2023, Curit had a stand at the HI Fair in Herning, and on that occasion, Assistant Professor Maria Jensen from AU, Herning came by for a chat. The conversation developed into an invitation to come to Herning and give a presentation about IFS and Curit to students at BTECH, Department of Business Development and Technology, AU in Herning.
For Curit, such an invitation is a great opportunity to get out and expand knowledge of the ERP system IFS, what a job at Curit consists of and not least meet young people who are curious and eager to learn. It's also always exciting to get out and meet potential new business partners, colleagues or competitors. It was really interesting to hear the students' reflections - what are their immediate thoughts and what issues do they prioritise? It gives a good picture of how teaching and theory relates to practice and everyday life in a company, says consultant Cecilie Andersen.
That's why Carsten Kaaber, Cecilie Andersen, Julie Nielsen and Julie Troelsen travelled from Vejle to Herning on Wednesday 8 May to do a full demo of a flow from A - Z in IFS. @FynsKranUdstyr, headquartered in Odense, one of Curit's newer customers, kindly provided case content for the flow that was presented. The focus areas for Fyns Kran Udstyr are how IFS can solve the challenges of Traceability and ESG, which was therefore a significant part of the presentation. It was important for both BTECH and Curit that the presentation was based on a specific customer case. Thanks to Fyns Kran Udstyr for providing case content.

After the presentation, it was time for questions, and as many of the participants were studying for exams and collaborating with companies on specific issues, there was plenty of time for questions. This led to interesting conversations about how IFS could solve some of these challenges. Cecilie Andersen elaborates: It was really useful for the students to be presented with an example based on the daily life of a company. In addition, we were able to bring a different perspective to their questions, as our approach is much more practical than theoretical.
A big thank you to Maria Jensen for the invitation and to the students at BETCH for their active participation and many good questions.
